AI is often presented as seamless, invisible, and inevitable. This project looked at what sits behind that image.
For Planetary AI, I created a series of illustrations that move beyond the screen to show the people, resources, infrastructures, and landscapes that make artificial intelligence possible. The work follows the hidden routes of AI through data work, surveillance, unequal contracts, exhaustion, data centres, water extraction, displacement, and the concentration of power.
